FAIL.

As expected, my bracket was pretty bad.

Despite that, I still had 7 of 8 teams in the Elite Eight (only missed Memphis).

I now have 0 of 4 teams in the Final Four.

Even with my history of bad picks, I don't think I've ever gone 0 for the Final Four.

The jinx continues, taking down four teams in one fell swoop.

aside, "one shining moment" is perhaps the worst song in history. seriously. worse that jefferson starship's "we built this city."

and the only thing that can make the song even worse is the editors' game footage interjections that feature jim nantz and his ridiculous statements at the end of championship games. for instance, his statement "simon says championship" after arizona won the national title(or was that billy packer? doesn't matter, they're both douches), or "leave it to cleaves" after michigan state won the title in 2000.

i don't mind the commentator's attempt to capture a moment in one sentence; its just when nantz tries to do it, it sounds so rehearsed. its not authentic, its not genuine. its just bravado for the sake of bravado. and i wish someone would call out his pretentious ass for it.

bob costas knows what i'm talking about.

by the way, on the topic of nantz, my all time favorite quote is from a golf digest article several years ago. he said something to the effect that he's blessed to have great friends, a there were a lot of men in his life who have been more than just friends. well said, nantzy. you douche.
